The Kitchen Olympics

What, more talent? I hear you ask. Yes. It is true. The Fluffy Hair house has been taking part in the Kitchen Olympics! Here Nora and I are racing in the skeleton bob (not, as Nora thought, the opposite of a fat man called Bob, as that would be silly and does not make any sense).

I think my aerodynamic figure helped me to win that one.

I also tried my luck with skiing, but found this a bit tricky. As you can see, skiing can be very difficult without the proper equipment.

Nora seemed to enjoy the curling the best. She was actually quite good at it. Surprisingly along the way (or perhaps not), she found a couple of biscuits that she had hidden under the rug. Unfortunately, this made each game take a lot longer, as many nibbles were had in between delivering the stone and sweeping (not to be confused with a postman with a heavy parcel and a chimney cleaner).

The final race of the weekend was the bob sleigh. Again, Nora was slightly confused about the possibility of an unsightly and untimely death of someone called Bob. However, after the confusion abated, we had a great race! Some of the animals in the Fluffy Hair house came to cheer us along. Yes, even Zippy! He is not too well still, bless him, and spent most of the time shouting "George" and "Geoffrey."

But anyway. As you can imagine, we are now both very tired, so will be going to sleep early tonight. We hope you have enjoyed a glimpse of the Kitchen Olympics, and hope to have more teams competing in four years time.

So, good night

Love from Lewis (going for gold!) xx

PS Nora (going for gateaux) sends hugs too

wooly rooms

my new year desolution or revolution or something something is to eat less cake. lewis said i had to, so here i am only with one slice. it was a bit fluffy, just like me, as dolly had given the fluffy-hair house some of her wool to use. i must say, although don't tell her, that it was a bit tough and chewey. it was woolly in many senses of the word (i don't really know what that means, but lewis told me to write it to show a comical play on words or something something).

but anyway. lewis was happy that i only had a slice (although he doesn't know there are many others).

we decided to go away for the weekend. lewis felt like a rock star as we stayed in his own room and he met up with his lemur friend to jam (apparently this did not involve eating jam or any scones) and play his drums again. too bad there wasn't a nora or a panda room. if there was I am sure it would be filled with cake, pink dresses, hammocks and dvds of holby city. i hope that next time we go away there is.

anyway, lewis wanted me to show you this picture. although i'm not sure why because he doesn't spell his name like that.

i'm off now. lewis is trying to teach me yoga (not to be confused with our friend yoda) to help me and my big bottom.

lots of love

nora the panda, who one day wants to have a room named after her just like a certain gorilla i know xxx

Fitter or Fatter?

Well, in my effort to keep fit, I decided to get some guidance. So Nora and I settled down to read some instructions of how to walk. Nora thought this was all a bit silly because, of course, we know how to walk. As you can see, she did not take much interest.

Anyway. I decided to take a walk on my own. As you know, I have rather a big bottom, so find it difficult to get the correct walking posture (it takes all my effort to hold it in). So I had to keep stopping for rests. But these were in some very beautiful places as you can see.

Here I am in the middle of a field! Luckily there were some sheep around, so they gave me a 'lift' to a church in the woods.

Here I am resting with God, nature and some dead humans.

When I got back to the Fluffy-Hair house, I was very disappointed to find Nora raiding the cupboards for sweets. Shocking! She excuses it by saying that no matter what happens she will not get any fatter or any thinner.

I suppose there is some truth in that, but being an active gorilla, I would much rather be fit than have all my teeth fall out.
Have a happy week.
Lots of love from Lewis x
