Christmas Crackers

Hello all everywhere.  Yippee!  We have had fun this Christmas.

I got a gorilla mug.

And Nora got a panda mug!

Hurrah!  We will no longer argue about tea ownership.  This bodes very well for a peaceful 2014.

Lots of love and chocolate (and tea!)

DAFT instead of MAD

Well, I have come to a big decision.  What? I hear you ask (well, I hope I do).  Well...  I have finally decided that being MAD (Master of Animal Detective) is not enough.  I would like to be DAFT (Doctor of Animal and Fluffy Theories) too.

I came to my decision after two important events.  Firstly, I found out what had been making the neighbours ill.  They were all a little hoarse and were suffering from hay fever, brought on by nightmares and feelings of being unstable.  It turns out that Mr Mustard the horse started it all off with his sneezing.  Apparently, he had been visiting the local fish school and had stuck his head in peppery water.  I used my MAD detective skills to solve that one.  All the animals in the Fluffy-Hair house were impressed.

The second important event was finding Peggy Browne the Pufferfish in the school down the road (the same place where Mr Mustard the horse became ill).  After talking to the Head of the school (who also had a body and fins), we are letting her stay with us for a while on work experience.

Nora and I have been helping her with her writing skills, as you can see.  I know that if I was DAFT I would be able to help her more.

So there you have it.  I am obviously a very talented, if not modest, Gorilla.  So I think it is about time I tried to be DAFT.  I'll have to apply to a university.  I'm hoping I'll be successful.  Go Gorilla!!

Lots of love from Lewis xxx (MAD for not too much longer!)

hoof and mouth?

oh dear!  (really i should be saying oh bear! oh horse! oh dog!).  i cannot write for long because my nursing skills are in demand...

just look at jacob.  he is usually so talkative.

some kind of illness has affected our fluffy-hair community.  there are rumours of bird flu or swine flu.  or even mad cow disease (codswallop i say).

could it be cow pox or chicken pox?  lewis thinks that mr mustard the horse has hoof and mouth disease!  neigh, i say.

it may even be saturday night fever.

i am baffled.  i am having to deal with all this, and i haven't even finished my nursing exams yet.  lewis is off doing his detective work to find out what is going on.

lets hope the animals get better soon!

Bear's Got Talent!

Such excitement in the Fluffy-Hair house!  You may remember George?  Well, he has just come runner up in the "Bear's got Talent" TV show!!  What for, you may ask?

Playing the piano, of course!  He's been practicing for months.  He won with an amazing rendition of many of Saint-Saens "Carnival of the Animals".  He also did an amazing bit of Chopin.  As you can see, he has being trying to teach us how to play too.

Nora was a bit confused by the whole thing (bless her).  I think she was just mesmerised by the keys being the same colour as her.  That seemed to distract her from actually playing.  Later she told me that she was also concerned about playing Chopin as she did not want her paws to be chopped off!  Me, on the other hand, did quite well (just look at me go!).

Thank you George, and congratulations!

Jog your Memory

So, things have been a bit stressful here in the Fluffy-Hair house lately. Alan's amnesia has caused mayhem in the kitchen.  We have had a lot of food disasters.  As you can see, Nora wasn't too happy about eating jam on cucumber.

... nor broccoli with strawberry and cherry (although she did like the strawberry and cherry parts!).

So, being MAD (Master of Animal Detective), I decided that we needed to go out and find Alan's memory (there are only so may peas on toast with rolled oats that one can eat).  We looked everywhere...

... Behind the rocks...

Over the ocean.  It took hours!  Finally, I got Alan to go for a run to try and jog his memory.

And guess what?  It worked!

He is now back to his normal chef/chocolatier self.  And, of course, Nora is happy too.

Well done to me! (Lewis, MAD) xxx

alan's amnesia

hello cake loving folks!  i was soooo looking forward to this evening as alan went shopping to buy some chocolate cake ingredients!  yippee!

unfortunatley, he only came back to the fluffy-hair house with sand (which is not good for making cakes).  being a nurse, i have diagnosed him with amnesia.  it appears that he completely forgot what he was doing, so went to the beach!  oh dear :-(

so i think tomorrow, i need to go shopping to help him out.  or maybe i could ask lewis to go so that i can have a lie in (panda sleep needed due to the stress of disappointment).  we'll see.  maybe i should go shopping anyway.  who knows what i might bring back to the fluffy-hair house...

lots of love (but slight disappointment) nora the panda-nurse xxx

Neighbour Jumpers

Our other new neighbours invited us around for some sandwiches yesterday.  It was the evening, so I guess it is OK for someone to wear pyjamas when they have visitors (as long as they don't start going shopping or on the bus wearing them or anything crazy like that.. The beginning of the end...).

They are very nice bears.  As you can see, they were very festive.

I wonder if a reindeer is wearing a bear jumper?

Nora said that she would like to take up knitting again.  She really liked this cardigan.

And a lovely surprise was seeing Santa!  He gave us some gifts.  I got a book on animal paw prints, which will be very useful for my detective work.  Nora got some chocolates, which I think she is making her way through as I write.

Anyway.  We have had a lovely Christmas.  Happy New Year!!
