Gorilla Mission

As I said in my previous post, I can now (partially) reveal what I have been up to.  As you know, Bond. Badger Bond. has been staying with us in the Fluffy-Hair house.  He was given a top secret mission (which now has bottom open status - please note that this is not related to bowel movements - even though I am a vegetarian). 

Anyway.  They (I cannot tell you who 'They' are), needed a gorilla for their mission, so Bond. Badger Bond. asked me.  To cut a long story short, they actually wanted someone for a guerrilla mission, but something got lost in translation, and they had a real gorilla (me) instead.

To avoid the gorilla/guerrilla confusion, I was given a disguise, as you can see.  I bet it took you a while to work out it was me!

We also had a mole working with us, but he is now underground, so not in the picture.

Although I cannot go into details, you will be pleased to hear that the world is now a safer place.  Thanks to Bond. Badger Bond. and his intelligence skills, my MAD (Master of Animal Detective) skills and Sir Veilance, we managed to capture the assailant, who has now sailed far away (to a prison).

I am now looking forward to a relaxing weekend with Nora and the other animals in the Fluffy-Hair house!

Meeting Monkey Brother

Its Lewis here!  You may be wondering why I have not been on here for a while.  Well, I have been off on a secret mission - but more of that another time.

Simon the Sloth and the Monkey have been away again, and wanted me to tell you about it.  They went to a place called Germany to meet up with Monkey's relative, Monkey Brother.

As you can see, they had a bit of trouble knowing which train to catch, particularly as Simon only speaks Spanish and Monkey only speaks English, but everything was in German!

Eventually they sorted it out and met Monkey Brother.

They all went for a bit of sight seeing, but had an unfortunate incident.  Yoda was there.  However, he turned out to be an impostor, and went a bit crazy and even tried to eat Monkey, as you can see.  What a traumatic time!  Luckily they escaped and sailed away on a boat.

You'll be pleased to hear that Monkey and Simon are safely back in the Fluffy Hair house.  Monkey said it was sad saying goodbye to Monkey Brother, but they will see each other again.

competition winner!

look at me!  i won a competition - for a sponsored silence (it was easy as i was asleep most of the time).  and my prize was a holiday near the sea!  you can see me being treated like a film star with lovely flowers.  lucky panda me!

 i managed a spot of sunbathing.

i even had my own pool!  lewis is very jealous as he has been working very hard.  so i said i would help him, to make him feel a bit better.

PANDA!

hurrah!  here i am with my cousin ying ying!  we were playing hide and seek.  you can see me here counting to 99.  but, when I turned around, ying ying had fallen asleep, as you can see below.

and I thought I spent a lot of time sleeping!

so yes indeedy; i have been on holiday!  just like lewis went to see his cousins in africa last year (it should have been a panda in rwanda), i too have been away.

pandas pandas everywhere! 

i made a few friends as you can see.  and because i am only a little panda, a big (giant) panda helped to show me around.

and to top it all - i even found a panda cafe will all my favourite food!  

yippee!  what a lucky panda i am!

panda nurse!

yippee!  nurse nora!  i was given some work experience in the fhs (fluffy health service) hospital!  as you know, i want to be a nurse, and i have been a good one when lewis was ill (twice).  so, it was great to hear from sister panda (who is not my real sister because i don't have one) asking me to meet her in the fhs.

it was a bit scary at first because of all the machines and dials as you can see above.  one was for air and i think one was for cake (or maybe i dreamt that).

i met chelsea the bear who was recovering from an operation.  as you can see, she is still very week, but smiling. 

as a present, lewis bought me my favourite cake from the fhs canteen.

he was in the hospital too, visiting his gorilla friend geoffrey.

 

i think he got told off though, for swinging in the ward.  oops!

so, feeling full from my cake and exhausted from my week long fhs experience, i am off to bed!

look how lovely today has been!  bond.  badger bond. gave me some love heart sweeties! (yummy!)

and he wrote me a poem.  unfortunately, i ate the (rice) paper it was written on accidentally along with all the sweeties.  i can remember bits of it though:

roses are red

violets are blue

badgers are black and white

just like you too

what goes black and white, black and white, black and white?

...it is not a penguin rolling down a hill

...or a zebra in a revolving door

(and in any case, i don't think a zebra would ever be using a revolving door as lewis told me that they live near the lions and elephants in africa, so i cannot imagine they would need to enter a hotel or a shop)...
