wooly rooms

my new year desolution or revolution or something something is to eat less cake. lewis said i had to, so here i am only with one slice. it was a bit fluffy, just like me, as dolly had given the fluffy-hair house some of her wool to use. i must say, although don't tell her, that it was a bit tough and chewey. it was woolly in many senses of the word (i don't really know what that means, but lewis told me to write it to show a comical play on words or something something).

but anyway. lewis was happy that i only had a slice (although he doesn't know there are many others).

we decided to go away for the weekend. lewis felt like a rock star as we stayed in his own room and he met up with his lemur friend to jam (apparently this did not involve eating jam or any scones) and play his drums again. too bad there wasn't a nora or a panda room. if there was I am sure it would be filled with cake, pink dresses, hammocks and dvds of holby city. i hope that next time we go away there is.

anyway, lewis wanted me to show you this picture. although i'm not sure why because he doesn't spell his name like that.

i'm off now. lewis is trying to teach me yoga (not to be confused with our friend yoda) to help me and my big bottom.

lots of love

Fitter or Fatter?

Well, in my effort to keep fit, I decided to get some guidance. So Nora and I settled down to read some instructions of how to walk. Nora thought this was all a bit silly because, of course, we know how to walk. As you can see, she did not take much interest.

Anyway. I decided to take a walk on my own. As you know, I have rather a big bottom, so find it difficult to get the correct walking posture (it takes all my effort to hold it in). So I had to keep stopping for rests. But these were in some very beautiful places as you can see.

Here I am in the middle of a field! Luckily there were some sheep around, so they gave me a 'lift' to a church in the woods.

Here I am resting with God, nature and some dead humans.

When I got back to the Fluffy-Hair house, I was very disappointed to find Nora raiding the cupboards for sweets. Shocking! She excuses it by saying that no matter what happens she will not get any fatter or any thinner.

I suppose there is some truth in that, but being an active gorilla, I would much rather be fit than have all my teeth fall out.
Have a happy week.
Lots of love from Lewis x

Normality

This was us last week. Playing without a care in the world (although Nora did care about being cold, even though she has fur, so is paying the Blankey again for his coat services).

But now the snow has gone. So our days of playing and eating and being silly are over. We are back to normal in the Fluffy-Hair house. That means back to arguments over the chores, back to trying to eat less carrot cake (Nora) - but still coming across crumbs and denials of cake existence... but also back to blogging (sadly, not tobogganing).

As we have been so busy playing, we forgot to tell you about Christmas. As you can see, we had a good one. I got a new hat and Nora got some treats (sweets). There was peace and love abound (apart from sounds of Nora munching away).

But the holiday is over now. I shall be getting back to my detective work, and Nora has been developing her nursing skills by taking our temperatures in this cold weather.

We hope you all have a great New Year. My resolutions are:

  • to eat something else other than bananas (possibly bread or pears)
  • to get fitter (by popping to see the sheep a bit more often and possibly jogging around the garden)
  • to develop my detective skills further (by possibly doing a qualification at the Gorilla College of Gorillas)

lots of love, Lewis xxx

squirrel toes and wining

don't panic! we are alive! it's just that everything has been so busy that we have not had time to write on here. i have been forced to eat more cake than usual and do more chores. with that and all the sleeping us pandas need to do, that leaves little time for anything else.

its also time for ludicrusmas or something something with lots of chocolate, a baby, a gorilla, an unstable (animal? zippy?), some wise camels and sprouts. lewis said he would tell me more about it. at the moment, though, he is in the other room singing with sir richard cliff about squirrel toes and wine or something.

perhaps we should sit by the fire, like we did yesterday. lewis can tell me the story about the baby panda, whilst i eat a pie of mince (not the meat stuff because i am a vegetarian) and sip some yummy cream (yum yum)

yes, i think i'll go and find him...

see you soon! lots of love and sprouting cakes

Made Up

Just in case you were worrying about me. No need! I am feeling fine now and have even had time to not only drum with Sniff of the Yard (remember our band - the Monkey LaLas), but also to have a go on other instruments too!

The guitar it a bit tricky and I have noticed that my singing has caused some of the animals in the Fluffy-Hair House to move into another room - some even holding their ears! One of them told me that they need to cover their ears as it is getting colder. I think I shall have to investigate the matter further.

Anyway. I hope you will also be pleased to hear that Riley (of all animals!) has helped Nora and myself discuss our differences over the cleaning issues. Initially the conversation did not go too well as you can see.

However, we have now all reached an agreement regarding the chores, so all is well in the Fluffy-Hair House.

I'm off now to make a banana milkshake. I shall be sharing this with Nora, and she will be doing the washing up.

Compromise.

chills and chores

oh dear me. lewis is not well. he wasn't too happy about me taking this photo, as you can see, as he was concerned that he had not gone through his daily grooming ritual and would not look his best. i think he should be more concerned about how silly that thing on his nose looks.

apparently it is not a plaster, he has not been punched on the nose, he has not fallen over and hit his head on a leg of furniture. oh no. apparently it helps him breathe better! i just might have to test it out later as it all sounds like codswallop to me (ooops, sorry fish... nearly forgot the CALF).

anyway. it does mean that i have been FORCED into having to do the chores. what with lewis being on strike AND being ill. it took me a long time because things had piled up, but i got it finished.

riley very kindly gave me a big slice of cake as a reward, which i'm off to finish now...

panda dreams

its not fair. lewis is on strike (still). AND simon the sloth and the monkey went away (AGAIN).

anyway, they have given me some cake for putting their photos on here, so that's a good deal (or no deal). but i want to go away. i shall have to have a long think about where i want to go (while sitting in the bath, supping tea, eating cake and dreaming of a pink fluffy dress)...

righty ho. cake all gone. now, where did i hide those toffees?

lots of love and fluffy holiday thoughts, nora xxx (on the veranda panda)
