Pampered Monkey Treat

Monkey asked me to put some photos on here.  He's just returned from a pampering 'spa day' out.  I'm not sure how he managed to get the chance to do this, but he smiled a lot (as always) and muttered something about the goats owing him a favour.

Here he is relaxing on the beach (I think it was just after he had a massage).

He also got to do a yoga class.

Apparently, this pose is called the Down Face Dog.  He's so good at it that I think it should be renamed the Down Face Monkey!

Look at him - he is so flexible!  I wish I could do that, but I have bandy legs :-(

He even ended his pampering day with a cocktail!  It is called a Monkey La-La!  I think it was named after another monkey, but as you can see, he seems happy enough with that.

Anyway, we are all tired here in the Fluffy-Hair house - so its off to bed!  I'm sure Monkey will sleep well tonight.

Lots of love and fluffy dreams, Lewis MAD (and Monkey, of course) xxx

poor lewis got a bit wet on the way back from shopping.  he wasn't too happy.

luckily, he managed to get some bananas...

... so i could have them with my waffles and honey!  yummy yummy!

what a great gorilla he is.

Sheep Rustling!

Oh, what a commotion!  Some animals stole Dolly the Sheep!

Unknown to them, I am one of the best animal detectives (not many of us are MAD (Master of Animal Detective) you know!).  So I popped into my family library to find out more about these rustlers, as you can see below.

I did a bit of research.  Apparently, these rustlers are not very bright (as in intellect, not as in light or fluorescent clothing).  So I knew that my MADness would be of use.

I went to see the sea.  I calculated (using a very complicated formula that only those who are MAD know) that they would head that way...

... and heard a 'baaaaaa' in amongst the greenery!

You will be pleased to hear that after a lot of hard work and help from the other animals in the Fluffy-Hair house,  Dolly has safely returned (although looking a bit worn out, as you can see).  In all the commotion, she bumped her head, and (although she didn't want me to say this) is a bit embarrassed that the bump makes her look like she has a horn.  Thankfully, the hat covers it up well.

So, another case has been solved by yours truly.

Lots of love and fluffy-sheep-hair,

relaxing and reading (and eating)

so, while i settled down to one of my favourite treats (which lewis said i deserved because i helped with the cleaning: sweeping (eating) all the biscuit crumbs from the floor)...

... it appears that the other animals have been relaxing and reading.

george is a bit like me - he gets confused a lot.  so when it was suggested that he put on a hat to shelter him from the sun, he chose the wrong one, as you can see!  oops!

ah, now that's better.  i think he has been reading a magazine about different cheeses, or lemon cheeses ,or something something.  i'm not sure why, but it sounds yummy!

wilf has been reading too!  lewis said it is a very intellectual book and that maybe i should read some of it to help me with being a nurse (to be honest, i would rather read about cheeses (especially lemon cheeses) rather than diseases).

hmmm...  i'm sure i have some lemon cheese cake in the fridge...

off to find out!  lots of love and reading and eating, nora xxx

Banana Sun

Hello all!  Look at what we've been up too!  Nora and I decided to take a trip to the seaside!

Unfortunately, we had a bit of an argument on the way (over a banana) - so that is why we look a bit grumpy in the photo above.

To avoid any further disagreements, Nora decided to spend the day by the pool, and I decided to spend it on the beach, as you can see.

I really enjoyed myself!

Here I am looking a bit tired (after the end of a day doing nothing!).  Maybe if I'd had the banana to eat on the way, I would have had more energy.  But anyway.  Enough of that.  The banana issue has been sorted.

We spent the last part of the day relaxing together in the sun (after ordering a banana milkshake for myself and a chocolate one for Nora - she paid, after the banana incident in the morning).  It was so hot I had to wear a scarf on my head to stop my brain boiling!  Maybe I should have taken my tie off: that would have helped cool me down.

Anyway, we are back in the Fluffy-Hair house and all is well.

Lots of love, Lewis MAD xxxx

fishing business

yippee!  we received a letter from wilf the fox today!  here he is looking very business-like writing it!

apparently he's away on fishing business, or official business, or something something... something to do with foxes and being fluffy and something fishy.  i don't really know.  but it was nice to hear from him.

Monkey Sunset

So, while Nora and I have been cleaning the new Fluffy-Hair house (well, actually, it was me, as Nora said she needed to sleep after eating five chocolate biscuits), it appears that the Monkey popped down the road to see the sunset!

A bit cheeky of him, I think.  But I suppose that monkeys are known to be cheeky.  Although I shouldn't really be saying that because of our CALF (Campaign Against Ludicrous Falsehoods) protest.  I will only upset Chubby the Chicken, who gets annoyed when others call her a "chicken" which has subsequently made her paranoid and anxious.  Anyway... it looks like he had a good time.

Hopefully, we'll go with him next time.

Happy sunsetting!

moving confusion

so here we are in the new fluffy-hair house!

or so we thought.

but it turns out we had gone to the wrong place and on the wrong day!  lewis said it was all my fault because i had read the instructions upsidedown.

here we are in the (not) fluffy-hair house, looking at our (lewis's) organiser.  it turns out that i had been reading it upsidedown.  oops.

we had to wait there until it got a little dark for the pigs to turn up.  the pigs that we met yesterday (the ones that smile a lot) are giving us a lift in their car as i am typing!!

we will soon be turning up at the proper fluffy-hair house...

A Fine Day Out

Nora and I decided to spend the day going out and doing lots of things.  We got up so early, that we caught Wilf the Fox coming in from his night out!

We went to a party where we met a couple of pigs, as you can see.  Although they were very smiley, they did not seem to say a lot.

Anyway, they kindly let us use their car.  So we decided to stay out for lunch too.  Here we are relaxing in something called a 'beer garden,' although there were no beer plants, just some grass and trees.

We then ended our fine day out by singing some hymns at the Fluffy-Church.  Unfortunately, Nora kept getting the words (and pages) muddled up, as you can see.

We are now back in the Fluffy-Hair house.  I can hear Nora making some hot chocolate.  We'll be moving house again soon, so I'll keep you posted!

Lots of fluffy love, Lewis MAD xxx

gardening

so, i don't know if you've heard yet, but the fluffy-hair house is moving (again)!  we thought we had better do some gardening before we go.  but the chance to sunbathe was too tempting for me.  i missed all the commotion with our neighbour, emu.  he attacked lewis with some scissorswithaposhname for no reason, as you can see!

he then chased us all around the garden!  even bond. badger bond was a bit scared!

we then found out that he thought we were stealing his worms.  for some reason he likes to eat them (which is lucky for me because he wasn't after my cakes).

so we all made friends (although he did keep squawking loudly in my ear).

anyway.  we're off on a day out tomorrow.  yippee!

Pestival

I have just got back from a Panda Festival, known as Pestival.  This, I think, sounds a bit silly and suggests that pandas are pests, which of course they are not - apart from when Nora snores or eats too many cakes!  Anyway, Nora is still there - she has really been enjoying herself as you can see in the photo.

I came back to the Fluffy-Hair House early because it was too noisy.  Also, my friend Professor Luke was due to visit.  He likes to go for walks, so that is exactly what we did.

It was a bit of a cold day, and silly me forgot to put on my tie to keep me warm.  Oh well.

We enjoyed the sights and talking to the fish.  The conversation was very intellectual and there was no codswallop.

I have learnt a lot from Professor Luke being here.  I'm even considering moving on from being MAD (Master of Animal Detective) and studying to be a DAFT (Doctor of Animal and Fluffy Theories).

Had better go - time for some milk and banana cake.

Lots of love, Lewis MAD xxx

Taking a Break

You'll be pleased to hear that I am taking some time off from my detective work.  I was very embarrassed that Nora posted that picture of me having too much to drink.  But it made me realise I needed a break.

So, we popped down the road to see some of our Fluffy Friends.

Nora nearly had an unfortunate incident, as you can see below.

To recover she did a spot of sunbathing (after making candy floss soup - which she ate).

I am feeling much more relaxed now, and have told Bond. Badger Bond. that I won't be working for a while.  Indeed, we are even thinking of moving the Fluffy-Hair house again.  We all fancy a change of scene.

Meanwhile, I'll leave you with this photo of me.  I think I look a bit like a film star - don't you?  Maybe I should start a new career...

oh dear

oh dear.  lewis has been working too hard.  barnaby the bear said that his dress is on a roll.  or was it the stress is taking its toll?  or something something.  anyway.  he disappeared for a few days and we found him in a fluffy hotel like this!

he was not in a good way.  we bought him back to the fluffy-hair house and he managed to get some sleep.  for some reason he insisted on holding onto this brick.  we don't know why.

anyway.  we are lucky that barnaby the bear is staying with us at the moment.  he is very wise and knew what to do.

the sun is shining this morning, so we hope that lewis will be able to relax outside.  barnaby said that we should make sure he takes some time off work.  and we should make sure that he drinks water and not vodka.  poor lewis.  i may bake him some of my special cakes.

sunshine cleaning

i know it looks like we're in training for the kitchen olympics.  but no.  we are actually drying in the sun!

its that time of year again.  not just for sunbathing... its been 'deep clean' time again.  we donned our snorkels and masks to enter the deep-clean-washing-machine.  i got a bit dizzy, as usual, but lewis said that didn't matter because i am always dizzy anyway.

even bernard joined us, as you can see.  he managed to take these photos of us from up above.

it was good that dolly was around too.

i smell all fresh and lovely.

love and sunshine cleaning, nora the panda (panda and proud) xxx :-)
